Delta’s Evil Pricing Scheme

We had an experience this week which rocked our faith and trust in Delta Airlines. We have used them for a long time and have a credit card with them as our favored airline. We were planning a trip to visit my son in Tennessee. My wife had looked up the prices last week, and it was about $309 per person. She didn’t buy right away. We came back this Wednesday to finalize the trip, but found that the prices had gone up $125 per person for the same flight. Knowing prices do change from time to time, I logged into my rewards account on my computer to look at the same flight, and within that 10 minutes, I was now being quoted another $150 per person. From $309 to $579 within a week. This result just blew me away.

Apparently, Delta has admitted using AI tracking and algorithms to boost prices for repeated visits and tracks members to see how much we are willing to pay and change prices instantaneously. This process caused us to question our allegiance. We ended up booking on American Airlines for the same trip for $309.

Deltas has lost our loyalty and our trust.
