If there is no authority higher than the State, then the State effectively becomes the arbiter of all that is just and right. The danger of this autonomous humanistic State is that it will not be restrained from exercising despotic and tyrannical power over its citizenry because it has become accountable to no one but itself. Recognizing no divine limit to its function, it becomes the arbiter of morals as well as policies.
God is the Sovereign Judge of the Human Soul. He gives faith and salvation to those whom he choses, but he does not do so on a whim. He sees the human heart and ‘gives to every one according to his deeds.’ Desiring all to be saved, but knowing not all want to find God… he gives people the destiny of their own choosing.
The fact that the TTP (Trans-pacific partnership) t is so secret that its contents cannot be revealed to the American people for 4 years after it has passed is an affront to the democratic process and the liberties of the people. It is the greatest power grab by the government, over and against the people, since the founding of the Republic.
God does not choose to save everyone or give to everyone the gift of faith. God is the sovereign judge of humanity, and chooses to reveal himself to some and not to others. Atheists are not atheists because they do not believe; atheists do not believe because God as hidden himself from them.
